About

Tameka McCrae-Edgecombe is a highly respected Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor, National Certified Counselor, Life Coach, Employee Assistance Professional, Certified School Counselor, and Licensed & Ordained Pastor. She holds a Master’s degree from Emory University along with a Specialist degree in Counseling.

Recognized for her lasting impact in both education and counseling, Tameka has received multiple honors throughout her life and career, including nominations for Who’s Who Among High School Students and Who’s Who Among Professionals, as well as the 2023 Clinical Excellence Award in Employee Assistance Programs.

Known for her humility, compassion, and deep commitment to transformation, Tameka approaches personal growth as a sacred journey. She creates a space where individuals feel heard, supported, and empowered to break through barriers and live more fully.

As a faith-based counselor, she walks alongside clients with grace and conviction, grounded in the belief that with God, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26).

Her expertise is trusted by a diverse range of individuals, including pastors, school leaders, attorneys, law enforcement officers, corporate executives, public figures, and youth. Due to high demand and limited availability, Tameka is not currently accepting individual therapy clients. She focuses on mentoring and supervising professionals pursuing LPC licensure and careers in mental health. Upcoming offerings include CEUs and workshops on a variety of topics; including faith based counseling, African Americans, people of color, and the diaspora.

Inspiration

Life isn’t perfect—and neither are you—and that’s okay. Wherever life finds you, give yourself grace; you are still becoming. Even when life hasn’t unfolded as you imagined, do not give up; still grow, still evolve, still believe. Be encouraged.-Tameka Edgecombe
